Closing Call …
Johanna Note: A family member wrote this before passing to the other side:
“Let the closing curtain bring no sadness to your soul. Though the play is over, each actor played a role in bringing me sweet pleasure; a sharing of every scene…moments I shall treasure in my eternal dream.
The actors I have known and loved for lo these many years are you, with whom I shared my life through both comedy and tears. With a grateful heart I bid farewell to my beloved cast as it was meant to be. No play forever lasts.
Ephemeral, the mortal tides, time in silent haste slips by. And while destiny gently chides, to grieve is but to waste. Let not your precious moments dwell in thoughts of what has been. For when one play is ended another must begin.
Another play will soon be born, of that you can be certain– albeit with an altered cast. Tomorrow lifts the curtain, and the happiness you brought to me, to others you’ll disperse. Take leave dear friends, the time has come… a new play to rehearse.”
